| I met Katie's sister Julie while living in the dorms down as SDSU during my Freshman year in college. I was flattered when she recommended me to photograph her sister's wedding! Katie and Patrick have such a cute love story - they actually grew up together because their older sisters were BBF's way back when! How fun is that? They were married at non other than the top of the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. The views from up there are absolutely breathtaking both during the day and at night.
Not only were Katie and Patrick such a fun couple to photograph, but I got to connect with a few other friends there to see too! First, it was like a mini college reunion for me with two other ladies , Shiva and Dre that along with Julie, also lived with me in the dorms. Then it was a mini wedding pro reunion! Michelle of MB Wedding Designs and Events who did an incredible job with the decor and the highlight of the night - the ultra fab martini ice luge! Armando with Get Your Do Up rocked the ladies hair and make-up and I got to work next to one of my favorite videographers, Andrew of studio MSV. | Rachel and Niall | 01.02.09 | Weddings, Lifestyle |
| I am so far behind in blogging it's not even funny! My sincerest apologies, between holiday shoots, orders and our recent move into our new home, things have been a bit hectic! But I'm back! And I have lots to share in the coming weeks! First off, Rachel and Niall's Couture Couple shoot. Maria and I had an absolute blast getting to know this couple! In fact, we had so much fun that we have decided to hold a contest for a Couture Couple's Shoot! (More on that this week!).
They wanted a few more shots in their wedding gear, so we happily dressed them up and had a little fun around Grace Cathedral in the city. Then Rachel had a short and sassy dress she had worn for her rehearsal dinner and strolled down to the ever amazing pier along the embarcadero. Rachel makes these beautiful necklaces that we just had to play with! Here are just a few of my MANY favorites from the day! |

| We stopped off for an incredible lunch at the Waterfront Restaurant and cooled down sipping a mojito and got to get to know one another a bit more. Niall has got to be one of the most charismatic genuine people I know, he kept us entertained with his stories all day long. It was so easy to see why Rachel fell in love with him. He kept telling us about his favorite beverage from back home in England - Pimm's. The minute we got back to their place in the city for a wardrobe charge he fixed up a cocktail for us to try - it was delicious! Their neighbors had rooftop access to their building and had said we could shoot up their, so what does Niall do? Bring his Pimm's cocktail with him to enjoy!! | I just love it! And had we not had all day to shoot together - we would have never known them well enough to even get a shot like this! It's so THEM! This is what I love about my job :) |

| The incredible hair and make-up artist and genius behind Thi Cosmetics, Taylor Pham, just announced the Grand Opening and Holiday Shopping Soiree for her new THI Makeup Studio in Downtown Palo Alto! I can wait to go check it out this weekend and hope to see you there!

| Once again I get to photograph my favorite little munchkin, Elliana. She is such a little ball full of personality and curiosity, it is hilarious just being around her. Elliana is my good friend and hair stylist, Mandi's 2 year old daughter. Can you believe at just barely 2 years of age and this little one is talking up a storm and having actual conversations? It's a crazy thing watching her grow! |
