Meet Sydney on her birthday!

So, you've seen the maternity shots, the super cute black, yellow, & black baby shower and now I would like to share the first day of this special little girl's life. She is Sydney {bean} Lauren Bishop, the mini me of my best friend Jen; born only one week before her mom's 32 birthday!

At 2:13 this morning, I received a phone call from Jen's husband informing me her water broke and they were getting admitted into her delivery room. I jumped up, told my husband, ran down stairs to shoot out a couple of emails, threw on some mascara and ran out the door. Little did I know just HOW LONG LABOR TAKES!!!!!! Because I was photographing her delivery, I wanted to make sure that I shot everything, from beginning to end of this incredible day. We sat and watched for hours of poor Jen going through contractions, then finally the epidural came when she was ready for it. That, my friends, was a godsend for her! I have never had the honor to witness a birth before, and I can't even begin to tell you how incredible it was. I can't wait to see my little miss, she is the spitting image of her mother and I couldn't be happier for Jen & Brad. Congrats you guys!

rae + tony {engaged}

These two were soooo easy to photograph! Just amazing! We shot around the Stanford Campus, where Rae and Tony met for the first time in their school of law courtyard. I can only imagine how much fun we will have shooting on the wedding day! Thanks guys!

I adore the next three shots, especially the last one!

Meet Team Skog!

I just thought I would introduce everyone to my fabulous team and two of my favorite people! Without them I would be WAY crazier than I already am!!!! I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I am to have a team helping me with day to day tasks, emails, post production and maintain my sanity.

First up is Rob. Rob has been working with me for over the past 2 years. He originally started just to help me out with post production while I was busy planning my own wedding, but I never got rid of him! Instead I gave him more work and trained him to shoot! This lucky gentleman is actually my younger brother and one of my best friends. How I have been fortunate to have such a great brother I have no idea! Rob graduated from the Academy of Art with an Automotive Design degree, and is an amazing artist! Anything I need him to draw he can! Not only is he my main second shooter, but he is also now taking his own weddings as my associate. yay!!!

Next up is my favorite little gal, Mel. I had been on the hunt for a good studio manager to help manage emails, orders, scheduling and a whole bunch of other miscellaneous things on my list to do! After one of my rants about how badly I needed someone, Michelle of MB Wedding Designs referred me to one of her assistants, Mel who was looking for part-time work. From there I pretty much hunted her down and the rest is history! She is awesome and I dread the day she leaves me!
