The Walchek Family

I met the Walchek Family through one of my favorite brides, Danielle. They wanted portraits taken at their home in their backyard and LOVE black and white classic images. They have an incredible backyard, but for a day in April it was REALLY unexpectedly hot and very bright outside, so we opted for some shady spots. What a cool, hip family! Everyone was very polite and full of laughs. Man I love my job!

Baby Ava

My good friends Brooke & Jake welcomed the beautiful little Miss Aveline into the world on Aril 9th. Life is such an amazing thing, it's such an honor to get to be here to photograph little Ava's first photo shoot at just 2 weeks old. I watch the joy and happiness that she has brought into their lives and I get so excited for the day that Scott and I get to have one of our own. Brooke just sits there and stare at her in disbelief, she's just perfect in every single way.

Shana & Brandon

I should probably space my posts out a bit, to keep everyone looking everyday, but Shana & Brandon have been waiting too long to check out their sneak peek, so here it goes!!!!

Sometimes, you just have couples that know exactly what to do, Shana and Brandon are one of those couples. I have so many favorites, it was really hard to choose. What I really loved about them is just how they were so relaxed and connected with one another. While shooting them, I became so intrigued by how comforted and at peace Shana was in Brandon's arms. It made for some really beautiful images. I can't wait for their wedding this October at Casa Real!

Josh & Teri

After 4 years of magical bliss, Josh finally proposed to Teri. Josh, happens to be my best friend, Jen's little brother - we've had fun teasing him since he was just a little guy :) Jen and I are so excited that he has found his true love with Teri. We were in search of some vines around the Livermore Valley, but since this is the time of year vines are trimmed to prepare for the year's harvest, we had no such luck! Instead we stumbled along some sort of ruins surrounded by some awesome trees with the sun peaking through! It's so fun having the opportunity to document such a special time in people's lives, especially when they are someone close to you. I'm so sad that I will miss out on documenting their wedding day, I was already booked when they set their date. Regardless, it will be a gorgeous October day in Mendocino!
