Terry {Young Love & Hearts Revolution} + Trista Lerit: LA Shoot

After 5 whole days in Vegas for the WPPI Convention, Angelica and I thought it would be a good idea to drive to LA for a couple of days. We were so exhausted from Vegas, that we decided to lay low rather than hit the club scene while in LA. We were staying at the cutest hotel, Barn Diva, that had sweet little details and was painted deep turquoise. Our first thought when we saw the hotel was PHOTO SHOOT! So, Angelica posted an announcement on her blog for LA models and within hours she had emails! The first response was from fellow photographer and mega hottie, Trista Lerit. Then, Angelica got in touch with Terry, the drummer from Angelica's favorite band, Young Love & Hearts Revolution! So, as I'm sure you can imagine... we had a blast!!!!!!

WPPI Competition | 4 out of 5 ain't bad!

For the third year in a row, I attended WPPI's {Wedding and Portrait Photographers International} Convention held in Vegas. This year, I decided to enter a few prints into the competition for a little learning experience. I arrived on Saturday and was rooming with my good friend / own personal wedding photographer, Angelica Glass. We partied the first couple nights and Monday night after our shoot, I decide to lay low and have a late night meal at the hotel's restaurant with friend, Ingrid of Ingrid Joy Studios. I was tired of drinking and eating crappy foods, so I went for something healthy. NOT A GOOD IDEA! I ended up with food poisoning for the next 2 days living in misery in my hotel room! And, didn't get to see how I did in the competition until the last day! I had several friends telling me they saw one or two or four hanging! I didn't know who to believe, so on the last day I was able to manage my way down to walk the aisles of winners. I received Award of Excellence merits for 4 out of the 5 prints! I was a bit shocked and pretty excited!

Vegas Shoot

While in Vegas attending the WPPI Convention, my friendAngelica Glass invited me and good friend Jason Clark for some fun shooting Chicago photographer, Molly Grace for the day. We dressed her up and Angelica had her in some hot poses. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day.

Toward the end we wanted to play with a little flash flavor.... I think it turned out pretty cool!

What an event! The posh Promises & Pearls Bridal Sioree thrown by MB Wedding Design & Events and Especially Yours Chair Covers was a huge success! I had so much fun, the night flew by right before my eyes! Best Beverages Catering had the drinks flowing and Nico Marin Presents catered the food for the event. They had several taisty appetizers and an incredible mashed potato bar! YUM!!! A good time was had by all. Maria Chang of PMA and I combined forces to give one lucky winner our Couture Boudoir Session! It's a 3 hour sexy shoot with custom hair and make-up by Maria!

I had a square table that was viewable from all sides, so I made a standing cube of 4 gallery wrapped canvas images. It worked perfectly for the space! Special Thanks to my love muffin, Augie Chang for taking a few detail shots of my booth!

The ladies of the hour, Bev from Especially Yours Chair Covers and Michelle {MB} from MB Wedding Design & Events

A couple shots of The Flirty Guide and Studio MSV's booth.

And I had to steal of couple of shots from Augie's Blog... From left to right: Andrew from Studio MSV's looking at me like I'm a freakish giant {which I am not - I just had some sexy pumps on}, Maria Chang {as in Gang} from a href="">Professional Makeup Artistry announcing the winner of our Couture Boudoir Session {NOTE: a microphone in my hands is always a bad idea, unless I'm singing Total Eclipse of the Heart}, and lastly, Me and Nicole Ha, one of my favorite florists!!!!
