Thi Cosmetics Test Shoot : Ania

I seriously. love. my. job! Taylor Pham, the incredibly sought after hair and make-up artist asked me if I would be interested in shooting a couple of test shoots for her make-up line, Thi Cosmetics. I of course, was honored to be included in such a shoot! Our first shoot was of Ania - incredibly gorgeous on the outside and extremely delightful to be around. She has a very warm, loving personality and I'm so excited to have had the opportunity to photograph her. I also got to meet Ania's sweet sister-in-law and aspiring model, Lana as well as Mimi, Taylor's business partner! Needless to say, it was a fun day. We started out at the new Thi Make-up Studio in Downtown Palo Alto where most of the prep work was done.

Images from the actual shoot, coming next!!!

Taylor applying her infamous lush lashes.

Isn't Lana so cute?

Mel + Michael + Family

Since Mel and Michael had both of their families with them for the Christmas holiday, they wanted to squeeze in a little family shoot before they took their engagement photos. As I was meeting everyone, I had learned that not only were Mel and Michael visiting from New York, but Michael's parents had traveled from Florida to spend the holidays with their new soon to be in-laws. I thought it was the coolest thing seeing how much these two families enjoyed themselves! I very rarely get to meet both sides of the family before photographing a wedding and I'm glad I got a chance too. It really shows just how excited they are for Mel and Michael! I cant' wait to see everyone on the big day!!!

The Rhodes Family

I really owe a lot to this family. When I was about 19, I started working at Primo's - a family owned restaurant in Danville. I pretty much grew up while working there and it basically is what led me to where I am today. I started as a waitress, but before I knew it - I owned the place - well, not literally :) I worked there about 6 days a week and got to know a lot of the regulars quite well. This is where I started my business, I shot several customers' families, they let me promote my work AND I met my future husband. I worked there for almost 10 years and every once in a while - I'll go back and work a shift just for fun {but it has been a while...}. In fact, my younger sister still works there. Needless to say, the Rhodes Family has been good to me and I love them.

So, here's the breakdown: Jack and Linda {grandma and grandpa} parents to Rick, John, and Ryan {missing from this shoot!}, and the grandkids!

It's so crazy seeing just how fast kids grow - I've been shooting all of them since they were babies and I just can't get over the personalities they have developed and what little cuties they are!

Rick & Joelle {I shot their wedding!}, Jack and Dylan

John, Sherri, Sydney, Tatum, and Chase {I've shot them since Sydney was just a little babe and she is already 9!!!}

Mel & Michael Part II

I had an absolute blast shooting Mel and Michael. They are such a fun, hip and very much in love couple! They currently live in New York, but will be getting married here in California where Mel is originally from. Since they were in town for the holidays along with Michael's family we did a mini shoot of the families (coming very soon), then took Mel and Michael out for some engagement photos. There were seriously WAY took many gorgeous shots to choose from with these two. I can't wait for the wedding!!!!
